The new HSE 180 S 3D 3-D printer from Essentium has a nozzle that can heat up from room temperature to its maximum temperature in less than 3 seconds.
HSE 180 S 3D Named for its high-speed extrusion operations, Essentium’s new 3-D printer boasts a nozzle that can heat up from room temperature to its maximum temperature — 932 degrees Fahrenheit — in less than 3 seconds. Equipped with a fully enclosed heated chamber and direct-drive servo motors, it can use a variety of materials, including TPU, nylon, polylactic acid and polyester, to create jigs and tooling, as well as other parts. The company is targeting the medical, aerospace, automotive and contract manufacturing markets.

What’s new? The printer, which began shipping in the second quarter of this year.
