ProMaker P1000 X Prodways’ new selective-laser-sintering 3-D printer can make both prototypes and final parts from a variety of materials, including polyamides, a TPU and a PP.

What’s new? The printer, a bigger, faster version of Prodways’ entry-level P1000. The ProMaker P1000 X also features a new thermal grid and 10-zone infrared heating system.

Benefits Reduced time to market for final parts, when compared with injection molding, and improved process repeatability over the P1000. With the new printer, users can make parts that are comparable to injection molded parts, without the expense and time that’s normally involved in developing molds. Also, compared with the earlier P1000, the P1000 X has a faster build rate — 2 liters vs. 0.9 liter — and has greater process repeatability across a wider range of materials. Its 24-point thermal grid allows it to achieve more homogenous heating of the powder bed, and its slicer now is more accurate.
