peel 2 This hand-held 3-D scanner from peel 3d can be used for reverse engineering, product development and rapid prototyping. It can scan most items without any preparation, including plastic parts, metal castings and painted parts. The peel 2 works best with objects measuring between 1 foot and 10 feet long.

What’s new? The incorporation of three cameras, which enables the scanner to capture finer details than its predecessor, the peel 1, which had one camera. Its peel 2.0 software provides more tools and functions. Additionally, the peel 2 features a system that uses the texture of scanned objects to improve its ability to accurately position itself in space.

Benefits Highly accurate color capturing, improved measurement resolution and affordability. With the scanner, users can easily capture details and monitor the accuracy of surface colors of complex objects at an entry-level price of $7,490.
