Mini Valve Gate Nozzle Thermoplay's new small nozzle series has been designed for the special requirements of cosmetic, medical and food packaging markets. With its compact profile and small pitch, the nozzle works well in restricted areas and allows injection on an "inside" surface of the part. Thermoplay, based in Italy, is represented in the U.S. by Synventive Molding Solutions. Both firms are part of the Barnes Group.
What's new? Tips that can be easily replaced for maintenance with the mold installed into the injection molding machine. The range of available nozzle lengths has increased, from 56mm to 146mm; internal flow bore has increased from 3.5mm to 4mm to increase flow rate; and the needle's diameter has increased from 2mm to 2.5mm to avoid bending and buckling.
