Stack mold components Hasco's Z 1545 gear housing and Z 1547 rack unit are used together to synchronously open and close the parting planes in stack molds for injection molding. The standard parts are available from stock.

What's new? The size. These small gear housings and rack units have a 2.5 designation in reference to the DIN specification of the gear teeth and are suitable for use with molds rated for dynamic loads of up to 80 Newton meters (Nm). They join existing components from Hasco with a 5 designation that can be used with molds rated to handle dynamic loads of up to 480 Nm.

Benefits Compact size and simplified stack-mold construction. Incorporating the components does not increase the overall size of the mold and allows mold makers to simply and economically produce stack molds. Also, the parts' moveable slides have a diamond-like coating to minimize wear and reduce maintenance.
