Tetra Laval International SA, Pully, Switzerland, has appointed Monica Gimre president and CEO of its Sidel Group business unit, beginning July 1. She will replace Sam Strömerstén, who will retire after three years in that role and 36 years with the Tetra Laval Group. Sidel Group provides blow molding, filling and labeling equipment for food, beverages and home and personal-care products. Gimre will come to the new role from her current position as executive VP of processing solutions and equipment at Tetra Laval Group’s Tetra Pak unit, which specializes in food processing and packaging.
