Kautex Maschinenbau System GmbH, maker of extrusion blow molding machinery, is back to normal business operations after it declared insolvency in 2023 and was acquired by Jwell Machinery in January.

Haichao He, president of Jwell, said Kautex and its employees have a strong reputation in the market, and Jwell expects to “continue to pursue this strategy consistently and enrich it with elements of the Jwell strategy.”

Three blow molding machines have been shipped from the production facility in Bonn, with three more expected to be ready in the next few months. Sales and after-sales activities have been a focus, along with supply chain management, according to a news release.

Thomas Hartkämper, CEO and CSO of the Kautex Maschinenbau Group, will leave the company at his request.

“After we were able to ensure that the established corporate strategy was maintained, I was able to accept a new challenge in my professional career with a clear conscience. The management team we have built up over the last few years represents the path we have taken to align the Kautex Maschinenbau Group with sustainable growth. The entry of the strategic investor and the associated completion of the transformation is a very good time for me to hand over a reorganized and up-and-coming company to the next level,” Hartkämper said.

Kautex will participate in two major upcoming trade fairs, Chinaplas in April and NPE in May. At NPE, the company will occupy Booth S22049.

“Our primary goal at the trade fairs is to give our customers peace of mind through our presence on site. Security in the fact that thanks to our new owner, we are back stronger than before. Security in the fact that we are still an independent brand with an established team that is passionate about building on the strengths of the past,” said Dominik Wehner, global director of marketing and communications, Kautex Maschinenbau System Group.

Jwell also has established a new company, Foshan Kautex Machinery Manufacturing, Co. Ltd., in the region of Shunde Foshan in Guangdong Province.

Jwell Machinery, based in Suzhou City, China, manufactures extrusion equipment.
