Flow controllers Wittmann Battenfeld’s 101-, 301- and 200/230-series flow controllers are used to regulate the flow of water in the cooling circuits of injection and blow molds. They are available in a variety of configurations to handle up to 12 cooling circuits and flows as heavy as 8 gallons per minute, per circuit. As standard, the flow controllers come with a simple visual flow-control system and a bimetallic thermometer.

What’s new? A retrofit kit called the WFC that turns the simple 101-, 301- and 200/230-series flow controllers into low-cost, high-grade control systems. The kit includes special brass adapter units that are inserted into the flow controller housings. The adapters make possible the measurement of vortex flow, allowing for more sophisticated analysis.

Benefits Enhanced capabilities. Using vortex-flow measurement, the WFC enables digital analysis of both flow quantities and temperature changes. If water flow or temperatures fall outside tolerances, the control unit issues an alarm. The kit is inexpensive and easy to install.
