C-Beyond This new digital platform from Coperion is designed to leverage artificial intelligence to help users of the company’s compounding machines and extruders. Accessible via the machine control, tablets and other devices, the system is able to manage multiple lines and machines, and its interface offers an overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) dashboard, as well as information regarding process deviations and maintenance issues. With the system, users can access a variety of remote support and monitoring services for extruders as well as for materials-handling systems.

What’s new? The system, which Coperion showed off at the K Show. It is accessible via the control systesm of the ’ CSpro and EpcNT extruders, or by using Coperion’s Service Box CSB 4.0, which can be retrofitted on existing Coperion machines. With the system, users have access to the latest extruder controls, enhanced alarms that display probable causes of problems and recommended actions, and an empty-run feature for feeding systems that allows all or selected feeders to run empty simultaneously at a particular time.

Benefits User-friendly, accessible presentation of comprehensive production data in real time, facilitating increased uptime. The system can help users keep track of performance parameters, evaluate OEE, maximize production efficiency and, with an included Sustain app, track energy consumption and emissions. For user security, the system protects against unauthorized access to sensitive production data with a virtual private network gateway.
