Guill’s new reciprocating extrusion head allows users to change the profile of an extruded tube.
Reciprocating head Guill’s new reciprocating extrusion head allows users to change the profile of an extruded tube. A continuously extruded tube, featuring three distinct profiles, made with the reciprocating head is shown.

What’s new? The reciprocating head, which employs a linear reciprocating assembly rather than a traditional tip and die assembly.

Benefits The ability to create a multi-profile tube in a single process. With the reciprocating head, processors can manufacture products that previously required multiple extrusion steps, assembly and the storage of multiple, individually produced profiles. This gives manufacturers the flexibility to produce custom pieces and reduces turnaround times.
