Nordson melt filter improves film quality

May 25, 2023
The filter minimizes operator intervention, offers process stability and enables the use of recyclate.

BKG HiCon K-SWE-HD/RS filter This new melt filter from Nordson provides a consistent high-pressure environment for blown film applications, even when working with high levels of recycled content, which otherwise can compromise the quality of final parts.

What’s new? The melt filter.

Benefits Automation that minimizes operator intervention, offers process stability and enables the use of recyclate. For blown film applications, the film bubble can be negatively affected by minor changes in temperature and viscosity, while pressure fluctuations due to screen changes, backflush and venting can harm film quality or even cause line shutdowns. The BKG HiCon K-SWE-HD/RS prevents such issues. It uses backflushing to keep screens free of contamination and debris, creating the need for less frequent screen changes and fewer new filter elements, which boosts profitability. Designed for simple cleaning and maintenance, the compact technology fits easily into blown film lines. It is compatible with all blown film lines, regardless of their model or manufacturer.
