Colines enhances cast film lines with automatic core-loading system

Aug. 23, 2021
The ALLrollEX family of cast stretch film lines has upgraded winders with expanding shafts.

ALLrollEX Colines’ ALLrollEX family of cast stretch film lines can produce films measuring from 3.3 feet wide to 14.8 feet wide. The high-speed machines achieve throughputs of 1,543 pounds per hour to more than 6,600 pounds per hour. They are characterized by energy efficiency, a compact footprint and high-quality, high-speed winding of very thin films measuring from about 8 microns to 10 microns thick.

What’s new? Upgraded winders and a fully automatic core-loading system. New expanding shafts on the winders allow the use of 1.8-pound cardboard cores, which are 20 percent lighter than the common cardboard cores that the company’s machines have used since 2013.

Benefits More uptime. Due to the fully automatic core-loading system, users don’t need to stop or slow the line when changing parameters such as roll width or diameter. Additionally, the “soft” unloading system ensures that rolls aren’t damaged during high-speed unloading.
