Arburg Inc. has begun a major addition to its U.S. headquarters in Rocky Hill, Conn.
The expansion will add 23,000 square feet, increasing the size of the facility, which was built in 2015, by 80 percent.
CEO Friedrich Kanz said the U.S. is the most important foreign market for family-owned Arburg, which is based in Germany, and the need to expand at this point was a “delightful surprise.” The addition will include room for turnkey projects, machine customization and customer training, as well as 25 offices for employees.
