Milacron sale is finalized; Q3 results show decline

Milacron Holdings Corp., Cincinnati, reported sales of $250.3 million for the third quarter of 2019, an 11.5 percent drop from the same period a year ago. Its operating earnings for the quarter fell 39.5 percent to $19.3 million. For the first nine months of 2019, Milacron’s sales of $770.4 million were 12 percent lower than the same period a year earlier, while operating earnings were down 24 percent from the same period in 2018.

On Nov. 20, Milacron’s stockholders voted to approve the company’s acquisition by Hillenbrand Inc., Batesville, Ind.; the following day Hillenbrand announced it had completed the approximately $1.9 billion deal.
