Neo.M This range of Tederic machines includes the Neo.Ms and Neo.Mv series, designed for multimaterial processing. The Neo.Ms machines have a center rotating platen, while the smaller Neo.Mv machines have a standard rotary platen design.
What’s new? An expansion of the Neo.M platform, along with multiple upgrades, based on the company’s rollout of its next-generation single-material platform, the two-platen servo-hydraulic Neo.H. The Neo.M range has been upgraded with the latest-generation Inovance drives and motor/pump system. The Neo.Ms line now includes six models, with clamping forces from about 970 tons to about 3,800 tons, while the Neo.Mv line has six models, from about 1,200 tons to about 3,100 tons. At NPE, Tederic will show a 1,200-ton Neo.Ms making high-gloss automotive pillars from ABS and polymethyl methacrylate using the company’s CoinSure injection-compression molding process.
Benefits More accurate control, improved power consumption. The Neo.Ms machines, in particular, boast modularity and flexibility for multimaterial molding. They feature modular rotary-table movement, with independently controlled positioning, allowing for a range of mold designs and complex applications. For applications requiring more than two materials, additional hydraulic or electric injection units can be added as required. Also, according to Tederic, in the CoinSure process, the position and force of each tie bar are independently controlled. Tie bar positional accuracy is within 0.01mm, ensuring perfect dimensional accuracy of the molded parts. Products produced by this process have the advantage of being lighter than glass.
