Moldex3D announced it has signed Memoranda of Understanding with several educational institutions to donate academic licenses for its molding simulation software.
Moldex3D said the donations, which were made to the University of Tennessee Tickle College of Engineering, University of Toronto, and Western Washington University, are intended to help cultivate a skilled workforce to help meet manufacturers’ needs. The software will help students with research and design projects as well as their classes as they learn about injection molding, LSR, compression molding and resin transfer molding.
With U.S. headquarters in Farmington Hills, Mich., Moldex3D also works with educational institutions to offer comprehensive training sessions and workshops, and has made software donations to schools in the past.
