Jan. 2, 2020
Herrmann Ultrasonics has launched the second generation of its HiQ line of ultrasonic welders, which includes the Supreme and Precision units.

HiQ Herrmann Ultrasonics’ HiQ line of ultrasonic welders comes in two versions: Supreme and Precision. The Supreme model offers operating frequencies of 20 kilohertz (kHz) and 30 kHz and welding forces as great as 2,490 newtons. The Precision model has an operating frequency of 35 kHz and provides lower welding forces, down to 5 newtons.

What’s new? Numerous features. The second-generation machines have a new, user-friendly control platform that displays all physical components of the equipment as a digital twin. The machines also feature an ergonomic design, automatic height adjustment and an automatic tool clamping system.

Benefits Easier setup, production and maintenance. Thanks to the new control platform, the welding process and machine cycle can be monitored, managed and optimized using process data. Tool changes are fast and simple via an assistant that selects the weld program based on the tools that are being used.
