Mold-Masters upgrades hot-runner system

Nov. 23, 2022
The FusionG3 system can be installed straight from the box at room temperature, with minimized tooling requirements.

FusionG3 Available pre-assembled, pre-wired and plumbed, this drop-in Mold-Masters hot-runner system is appropriate for manufacturing high-quality medium-sized to large parts for automotive, appliance, logistics and many other similar applications. Nozzles for the system, which are available in customizable lengths of up to about 39.4 inches, incorporate field-replaceable heater bands and gate seals, allowing molders to perform quick repairs. Standard features include anti-rotation and valve-pin disconnect.

What’s new? The hot-runner systems, an upgrade over Mold-Masters' FusionG2. While the FusionG3 is new, most of the gate seals it uses are interchangeable with the FusionG2.

Benefits Fast installation straight from the box at room temperature, and minimized tooling requirements. For convenience, the FusionG3 can be installed without extra equipment, such as a temperature controller, which helps reduce installation time and improves safety conditions during installation, assembly and removal. Compared with the FusionG2 system, the new system boasts reduced nozzle bore cut-outs and optional new nozzle heater sleeves. Its more-compact actuators, available in hydraulic and pneumatic versions, minimize stack heights with cut-outs that are the same or smaller than in the FusionG2. Also, for easier access when space is limited, the position of lines for air, hydraulics and cooling can be rotated.
