Cavity pressure sensors Meusburger’s sensors are used to monitor the pressure in injection mold cavities to ensure optimal processing conditions. They are equipped with high-precision quartz crystals that release a charge when under pressure. The sensors can be installed in different locations within the mold, depending on monitoring needs. For general monitoring and process optimization, the sensor is placed close to a sprue or a thicker section of the molded part.

What’s new? Two models of pressure sensors, which are a new type of product for Meusburger. The E 6740 sensor is inserted into the mold cavity for direct measurement of pressure. The E 6750 is located outside the mold cavity; an ejector pin transmits cavity pressure to the sensor.

Benefits Convenience for mold makers. Available from stock, the devices are compatible with competitors’ sensors and with downstream peripherals such as amplifiers.
