Five-axis UMC-500 comes with a standard 30+1 tool capacity, and options include a 50+1 side mounted tool changer and a high-speed HSK spindle.
UMC-500 This five-axis machining center from Haas Automation incorporates design improvements found in the largest of the company’s Universal Machining Center (UMC) series, including a front-mounted control pendant and a lighter operator door. It comes with a standard 30+1 tool capacity, and options include a 50+1 side-mounted tool changer and high-speed HSK spindle.

What’s new? Size and price. The UMC-500 has the smallest footprint in Haas’ UMC series, and is smaller and less expensive than most competitors’ five-axis machines.

Benefits Simplified setup. The Wireless Intuitive Probing System can handle everything from tool- and work- offset tasks using intuitive templates, to in- process inspection with Renishaw’s full Inspection Plus software suite. All models of the UMC line are available in a Super-Speed version, which includes a faster standard spindle, faster rapids and higher rotary speeds. The models are made in the U.S.
