Cumsa devices control sequence of mold plate movements

Dec. 1, 2019
Available in various sizes, they control the sequence of mold plate movements and are easy to install and maintain.
EX, EY and EZ These new systems from Cumsa are used to externally control the sequence of mold plate movements. A line of extension rods — known as the EW series — is available to work in conjunction with the EX-, EY- and EZ-series models.

What’s new? The systems. The EX, or external superior plate separator, is available in two sizes and is designed for use in two separate situations: controlling two sets of ejector plates when the machine actuates the upper ejector, or during the pre-opening plate movement of the mold. Both the EY and EZ lines are available in four sizes. The EY line is designed for molds in which the upper set of ejector plates is separated and the machine actuates the lower set of ejector plates. The EZ line is designed to allow synchronized mold plate opening.

Benefits Ease of use and adaptability. The new systems are simple to install and maintain, and with so many available sizes, they provide for first strokes ranging from 1.2 inches to 14.7 inches.
