DME mold lifters compensate for mold expansion

The AccuAlign Lifters resist wear and warping.
AccuAlign Lifter Designed to allow parts with complex geometries to be easily ejected from mold cavities, the mold lifters in this new DME line are available in round and rectangular shapes, and metric and imperial sizes. The rods and blades are attached to a patented carbide ball retainer and pivot in a hardened shoe; users can choose among designs with acceleration and de-acceleration angles of 5, 10 and 15 degrees.

What’s new? The new line, on the market early this year. The lifters are unique in that they can compensate for directional travel angles, as well as side motion — movement typically occurring as the mold expands with heat. When manufactured with DME’s TruCool Conformal technology, lifter rods and blades feature cooling channels.

Benefits Quicker ejection of parts. DME’s ability to make the lifters with cooling channels and the lifters’ 3-D range of motion optimize their productivity and reduce the chances for wear, warpage and operating failure.
