eMotion 2.0 welder Rinco Ultrasonics’ next-generation electrical motion eMotion 2.0 ultrasonic welding machine employs a Linux Ubuntu operating system that is easy to use and doesn’t require a licensing agreement like Windows-based systems. It also features a completely redesigned microprocessor operating system that speeds its response time.
What’s new? A stack mounting feature, which offers easy alignment for quick-change tools. At NPE, Forward Technologies LLC, Cokato, Minn., will show the welder at its booth.
Benefits Superior performance and cost-effectiveness. The eMotion 2.0 welding system has a large color touch screen and a user-friendly interface with programmable password protection, and all events and changes to the parameters are automatically stored to ensure quality and process traceability. This permanent audit trail, combined with the eMotion’s ISO13485 and Class 6 clean-room certifications, makes the welder viable for medical device manufacturers. Unlike compressed air-driven machines, which return the horn to the mechanical home position after every weld cycle, the eMotion can return to any programmed position, potentially shortening the weld cycle. The servo-driven eMotion 2.0 is available in 20 kilohertz (kHz) and 35 kHz frequencies.
