Gamma Meccanica updates software on recycling system

The GM 160 Force Feed, which doesn't require a granulator, is optimized for film and rigid materials.

Gamma Meccanica is presenting its GM 160 Force Feed at NPE.

GM 160 Force Feed Designed for recycling film and rigid scrap, this recycling system from Gamma Meccanica S.p.A., Bibbiano, Italy, is equipped with a storage silo, dual-auger-configuration extruder with degassing system, 300mm screen changer and water ring pelletizer. With the Force Feed system, the recycling line does not need a granulator. In the U.S., Innovative Recycling Solutions represents Gamma Meccanica.

What’s new? Updated operating software, optimized to simplify operation, and improvements to the degassing system. The line can now be monitored and controlled remotely.

Benefits Low power consumption, optimized software for film and rigid materials and ease of operation. The GM 160 with Force Feed has a throughput up to 2,650 pounds per hour when processing LDPE. The system can process material with a bulk density as low as 0.5 pound per cubic foot.
