The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Thermoforming Division presented its Lifetime Achievement Award to Eric Lattanner, business development manager of Spartech LLC.

Lattanner, a member of the thermoforming community for four decades, was presented the award during SPE’s Thermoforming Awards Dinner in Cleveland, Ohio, on Oct. 25.

“We are fortunate and grateful to have people such as Eric who have helped to make thermoforming the vibrant industry that it is today,” said Steve Zamprelli, the SPE Thermoforming Division’s former chair.

Lattanner started out at the Royalite Division of Uniroyal in Mishawaka, Ind., in 1978 as a customer service representative, and has remained with Royalite his entire career. He developed a reputation for his cooperation with customers when it came to product development and product service, and established what were often decades-long relationships with many internationally known customers.

A recipient of his company’s Salesperson of the Year award and Circle of Champions award several times each, Eric has also supported every SPE Thermoforming Division conference since the first one was held in Portage, Wis., in 1992.

In 2016, he and his wife, Betsy, moved to Colorado where they live on a 30-acre ranch outside of Ridgway.
