Fusion VI Machine rebuilder and integrator KRC Machine Tool Solutions launches a new business — as an OEM — with this large-format, gantry-style machine series for cutting, trimming, drilling, milling, marking and inspecting composite layups. Designed for processing composite airplane parts after they have been autoclaved, the machines sport a movable bridge and dual vertical masts on parallel rails suspended above the work area.
What’s new? The machines, the first series ever offered directly through KRC. Through an agreement with now-defunct Flow Aerospace LLC, a company that built machining centers for the aerospace industry, KRC took over the Fusion line and upgraded it. The first of the newest machines, now in their sixth generation, was installed a few months ago.
