Chris Buse | Application Engineer | Universal Robots
Christopher Buse graduated from Ferris State University in 2017, obtaining an BS degree in Plastics and Polymer Engineering Technology. Chris started in the automotive injection molding industry utilizing both gantry and 6-axis traditional robots, then transitioned into medical device manufacturing engineering where he continued to implement robotic solutions for high mix / low volume before becoming an Application Engineer at Universal Robots in 2022 with a focus on the plastics industry.
Blaine Watson | Director of Business Development | design PORT
Blaine has over 15 years of experience in successfully growing companies and bringing new products to market. He has worked with start-ups and global brands in industries ranging from SaaS, medical devices, electric vehicles, and consumer goods. In 2022 he joined designPORT and helped drive their partnership with Universal Robots to become a Certified Systems Integrator. As a board member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, he understands the needs of the plastics industry and the challenges faced by injection molders.
