Investment of about $32.3 million is planned, and workforce will double by the end of the current fiscal year.

Engel announced it is expanding its presence and investment in the Queretaro area of  Mexico.

“We have chosen Queretaro, because it is the place to find, develop and hold talent,” said Stefan Engleder, CEO of the ENGEL Group.

Gerhard Stangl, chief production officer of the Engel Group, joined the governor of Queretaro and other government representatives to celebrate the announcement. “Our investment will be around 30 million euros [about $32.3 million]; by the end of the current fiscal year we plan to double the number of employees,” Stangl said. Engel plans to purchase about 17 acres of land  to support the expansion.
