Pixargus system can inspect larger profiles

Nov. 23, 2022
The 250mm iProfilControl also features a new interior design of the sensor unit and a newly developed calibration method.

iProfilControl Pixargus’ compact iProfilControl multi-camera system can check the geometries and surface qualities of highly complex profiles made of rubber, plastics or metal.

What’s new? A version that can inspect large profiles of up to 250mm. It joins two other models — one for profiles with diameters of up to 90mm, and another for diameters of up to 170mm. In addition to the expansion of the line, it’s also been updated, with the models featuring a new interior design of the sensor unit and a newly developed calibration method.

Benefits The ability to inspect the surface of such large profiles, and even better measuring stability, accuracy and ease of handling. With its new iProfilControl model, Pixargus says it is the first, and currently only, supplier to offer a sensor unit able to inspect the surface of such large profiles. Also, upgrades of the iProfilControl line now make the models easier to clean, and a new drain provides a way to get rid of water that might collect from the extrusion process
