Gerald Vogt named CEO of Stäubli Group

Vogt has served as division manager of the Robotics Division since mid-2016. He replaces Rolf Strebel, who has served as CEO for the past 14 years and had a 40-year career with Stäubli.

Stäubli Group announced that Gerald Vogt, who has served as division manager of the Robotics Division since mid-2016, will become CEO effective Jan. 1. Vogt will take the reins from Rolf Strebel, who has served as CEO for the past 14 years and had a 40-year career with Stäubli.

Stäubli’s board of directors chose Vogt at the beginning of 2020. Vogt has accompanied Strebel as he carried out his duties to prepare for the transition. Vogt will be responsible for the introduction and implementation of the company’s business strategy through 2030.

Christophe Coulongeat, who has been deputy division manager of the Robotics Division since 2018, will take over leadership of the division on Jan. 1. With its North American headquarters in Duncan, S.C., Stäubli manufactures products for the connectors, textile and robotics sectors.
