Conair Group, Cranberry Township, Pa., is now selling and servicing three product lines developed by Italian firm Doteco SpA in North America.
Piovan Group owns both Conair and Doteco.
The three lines — Blendo Adroit and Grado Adroit blenders, as well as the Vento air ring — are the first entries in the new “Conair by Doteco” brand.
The new technology will add to Conair’s reach in North America’s fiber and blown film market, said Alan Landers, Conair’s GM for U.S. arm Doteco Inc., and the new brand name reflects the complementary nature of the sister companies.
“From its beginning in 1994, Doteco has focused on extrusion processing, and the design and precision of their blenders have made them the envy of the industry,” he said.
Because of Doteco’s many OEM relationships, there is a large installed base of its equipment worldwide, and growing demand for direct sales from North American customers who want to upgrade or modernize production capacity, according to the company.
