The dehumidifying wheel dryers in the new RDX-P series from AEC can be integrated into a central loading system or handle multiple hoppers.

RDX-P The dehumidifying wheel dryers in this new series from AEC can be integrated into a central loading system or handle multiple hoppers. Molecular sieve desiccant that's been bonded, then baked into proprietary paper, eliminates powder that can contaminate the system. The paper — shaped into a special honeycomb structure — absorbs moisture at high temperatures, while the dryer maintains dew points at minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The drying hopper is equipped with a programmable vacuum loader that releases measured amounts of resin at specific intervals. The dryers can achieve temperatures in a range of 176 degrees Fahrenheit to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

What's new? The series, AEC's first wheel dryer.

Benefits Compact size and just-in-time drying capabilities, allowing pellets to enter the molding machine with optimal moisture levels. According to the company, the dryer can reduce drying time by up to 25 percent.
